Sandpaper: to smooth out uneven surfaces. |

Sanding block: to wrap the sandpaper around. |

Turpentine: to do quick clean-ups if the paints used are oil-based. |

Clean rags: to wipe up spatters and spills. |
| 5) |
Masking tape: to protect light switches, sockets, difficult areas from accidental splashes. |
| 6) |
Covers: either canvas or old newspapers, to protect floors or furniture. |
| 7) |
Scraper: required to remove old peeling paint from the surface. |
| 8) |
*Brushes and rollers: there are various sizes of brushes and rollers for different surfaces and purposes. |

*Roller tray and sleeves: different sleeves are used for different paints. |
| 10) |
Paint tray: in which to mix paints and hold your roller. |
| 11) |
*Appropriate filler: to patch up cracks or holes in walls. |
| 12) |
Filling knife: to fill the cracks. |

Sponge and squeegee mop: to wash down walls and ceilings, respectively. |

Container: to soak brushes, rollers, etc. and to hold other odds and ends. |

Extension pole: to attach roller for painting higher areas. |

Ladder: if painting high up is necessary. |

Protective gear: like face masks, caps, gloves, etc. |

Comfortable old clothes: to wear, of course! |
