Sequence of painting a room: Start
with the ceiling. Then paint the walls. Next the woodwork around doors and windows; then
cornices and finally skirting. This way, paint splashing from the ceiling doesn't ruin
other painted areas. |

Paint the difficult areas first -
like edges and corners. |

Either using a brush or roller,
apply the paint in overlapping strokes. Keep your strokes continuous as you work on an
area. You should also overlap your strokes when moving from area to area. |

You may paint in up-down or
left-to-right strokes depending on which is more convenient. Gently and lightly finish
off in an up-down stroke if the area allows for it. |

Always paint two or more coats
of paint. Complete first coat, let it dry. Then paint the second coat. Please refer
to the can as to how much time is required for the first coat to dry.
