| Always read the labels on your paint cans carefully for specific instructions and advice. |

Stirring |
| Always stir ready-mixed paints thoroughly before use. Make sure the soft deposit at the
bottom of the can is stirred until all the colour is homogenous. |

Loading the brush |
| Dip only the end third of bristles into the paint. Gently wipe off the excess paint on
a piece of string tied across the can. Don't overload or you'll find your brush dripping. |

Cleaning |
Always clean off any paint that spatters or spills immediately. You'll find cleaning much
more easier while it's still wet. And always wash all equipment immediately after use.
For emulsion paint, use water. For oil-based alkyd paint, use thinner.
