5200 Interior Sealer provides resistance against mild moisture and alkaline migration. However, active efflorescence should not be painted over directly. The source of moisture should first be addressed, followed by the removal of any white, powdery salt deposits. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly before applying the sealer and repainting.

The surface should be thoroughly cleaned and free from dirt, grease and other contaminants, then allowed to dry completely before painting.

The recommended painting system is one coat of 5200 Interior Sealer followed by two coats of Nippon Paint interior topcoat.

5200 Interior Sealer can be applied using a brush or roller. For best performance, dilution is preferably avoided. If thinning is required, dilute with no more than 5% water.

5200 Interior Sealer is touch dry in approximately 15 minutes and hard dry in approximately 1 hour. Allow a minimum recoating time of 2 hours before applying the next coat.

Drying and recoating times may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
