No. Hacking or removing the existing tiles is generally not required. Ensure the tile surface is clean, sound and properly prepared before applying the recommended primer, followed by the Epoxy Flake Floor Coating system.

Substrate moisture checking is required, particularly for concrete floors at ground-floor or basement areas where moisture may be present.

Lightly sand the surface using 300–600 mesh sandpaper to achieve a smoother finish and prepare the surface for the next coat. After sanding and removing any dust or residue, apply the second coat of Clear Finish.
